Senior Product Designer/Utrecht

I discover what matters to users and craft it into easy-to-use products.

8+ years designing intuitive products end-to-end across native mobile and web, for B2C and B2B. I take ownership of a problem from first concept through to shipped, pixel-precise UI — thinking in entire user flows and digging deep to get to the root problem worth solving.

Open to new work

Looking for a designer who owns the problem, not just the screens?

I'm open to new projects and roles where research, prototyping and shipped craft all matter. Tell me what you're working on.

How I work

A senior designer who decides what to build with data.

I'm an analytical thinker: I work through a problem space with product data to judge which design changes will actually move the user experience and the business metrics, and which are not worth the team's time. I test prototypes with users myself, and I design inside a design system — extending it when a new pattern is genuinely needed.

01 — Discovery

I prioritise with data, not opinion.

I work through problem spaces analytically, using Mixpanel and Looker to find where the team can make the most meaningful impact — on user value, conversion, and business metrics. Once a quarter we step back for a design sprint to reframe those opportunities.

02 — Research

I test from a hypothesis — and I run the tests myself.

I run smaller-scale tests myself, which has made me sharper about when a quick test is enough and when we need something rigorous. Either way I start from a clear hypothesis: what do I expect to happen, and what would change my mind? Beyond testing, we release to a subset of users and let behaviour tell us what works.

03 — Craft

I design both sides of a marketplace, app and web.

A mobile app for workers, a web platform for companies. Where possible I push for mobile-adaptive solutions on the B2B side too, so the most critical actions are never tied to a desk. I work within a design system and extend it when a new pattern is genuinely needed — the micro-decisions that make a journey feel consistent and accessible, not pixel perfection for its own sake.

Process in practice

Service blueprint for a digital programme management platform: phases, storyline illustration, client and Arcadis actions, and touchpoints

Mapping the journey before the screens

Research insights plotted along a customer journey so the product owner can see which functionality actually earns its place.

Arcadis — service blueprint

Six sketched progress-screen concepts with annotations

Sketching before opening Figma

Cheap, fast, and easy to throw away — sketches settle the flow while it's still cheap to be wrong.

Basic Fit — progress concepts

Engineers in the equipment warehouse testing the prototype on a laptop and phone

Testing where the work happens

A prototype filled with real data, taken into a warehouse full of equipment and put in front of the engineers who'd use it.

Shell — prototype evaluation

Facilitating to challenge assumptions

Discovery workshops that turn a feature request into user stories and requirements, with technical limits on the table from the start.
